FYI. Please read my attached email regarding the leaking skylights to SSV who manage the Coburg Basketball Stadium.

This decision was supported by all attending clubs.

Hi Rod.

I am writing this email on behalf of the delegates of the Coburg Junior clubs.

We conducted a meeting on Thursday evening in response to the leaking roof and the recent cancellation of games at the Coburg Basketball Stadium.

We discussed your email titled 'Skylight - Condensation Issue' and Condensation Policy that were forwarded to us this week.

While appreciating your action the following was decided and endorsed by all attending club delegates.

1. The acceptable and expected time for the completion of the listed roof repairs is 12th of August 2017.

2. The following actions will be implemented if the work is not completed by the 12th of August 2017.

• For any cancelled games due to the leaking roof all domestic clubs will be expecting SSV to compensate the clubs.  A penalty equal to the cost of the team sheet for the next scheduled and completed game to be paid by SSV to the concerned clubs. This means that clubs will not only receive a total refund for the cost of the team sheet and door fees but also not pay for their next game. The received penalty will be forwarded to the relevant teams by their clubs.
• All domestic clubs will not pay walkover fees for the first 2 games should teams not have enough players. We are finding it difficult to get our players to the games when we cannot guarantee that they will be playing.
• A further meeting by the delegates of the Coburg Junior clubs to discuss and implement further actions.

Your list of money spent on the maintenance of the stadium was noted. Also raised was the   fact that the leaking roof has been a problem for the past 20 years and is getting worse. The maintenance of the roof has been lacking during these 20 years. 

It is our preferred option that the roof is repaired and the work completed by of 12th of August 2017 or prior as you have proposed.

We offer our assistance if needed to ensure this happens.
