 TROPHY PRESENTATION

Our annual trophy presentation will be held on 3 separate dates due to the size of our club. The younger age groups presentation will be conducted at Don Bosco Youth Centre.  We needed to divide it into 2 groups on separate days as the venue could not manage the number of people that are attending.  The older age groups will be held for a first time at Oxygen Youth Centre in Coburg.  Pizza, softdrinks, trophies and fun are on the menu.  Parents are asked to bring a plate of deserts.

Details are:

11th of April 5.30 pm, Don Bosco Youth Centre, Sydney Road Brunswick. Teams – Glory, Leopards, Hawks, Rockets, Opals, Angels& Sapphires

18th of April 7.00 pm, Oxygen Youth Centre, Murray Road Coburg. Teams – All under 14 to under 20.

2nd of May 5.30 pm, Don Bosco Youth Centre, Sydney Road Brunswick. Teams – Panthers, Emeralds, Braves, Cyclones, Brumbies, Colts, Lightning

COACHES

We need coaches for the new season in most age groups.  Please ask suitable people to contact me if they are interested and available. Coaches must held a current WWC, be able to train and coach match days.  Applicants must be passionate and have a basic understanding of basketball.

NEW PLAYERS

NEWLANDS BLOG

Our club blog is now available on line @   http://newlandsbasketballclub.blogspot.com.au/.  There is a lot of information on it including my regular updates, teams, game details. Please subscribe to it and receive regular updates of information including match game details.  There is no cost to subscribe, membership is free. 

HOODIES
Hoodies are on the way.  They will be a different design and colour.  Orders can be placed at our training sessions. The cost is still to be determined.

CHOCOLATES
A huge thank you to everyone that helped for our chocolate fundraising.  Please return the money if you have not did so yet.

UNDER 10 Competition
There will be changes to the under 10 competition in the new season. It will now to the same as the under 8 that have no ladders, and finals.  Each qualified player will receive a participation trophy at the end of the round robin series that will conclude one week before the under age groups grand finals.
