MISSION STATEMENT
The Newlands
Basketball Club aim to actively
engage and involve our local community in the benefits of participating,
supporting and enjoying all aspects of basketball.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for
everyone to experience the excitement and joy of the game.
We will teach skills associated with our sport,
teach our members to be team players and provide training and games at safe and
healthy venues.
The photo shows 3 of our original members on our first birthday.
Jordan, Madeline and Rebecca have changed and grown a lot.
The opportunities that Newlands has provided for them (as per our mission statement) are enormous.
Their roles have and currently include (but not limited to):
Jordan - Player, referee, coach, Coburg Giants junior representative player
Maddie - Player, coach, team manager, junior committee representative
Rebecca - Player, coach, team manager junior committee representative
Their involvement and efforts have been and still are amazing. Well done guys, you should feel special because you are. We are very proud of you.
It is fantastic that we still have these 3 involved after 10 years.
We will continue to provide opportunities for all of our community to become involved in this wonderful game of basketball.
