Game Venues - Team Sheets
Hi Everyone,
Please note the following:
1. Coburg Senior High (ALVA GVE ,Coburg) is now being used
as a 6th court. This has been used in the past and only new players will
not be familiar with its location. Please make sure to ask your team manager or coach if you don't know the way. It will be used more as the
competition continues to expand..
2. Team Managers: The team sheets must be in to me no later than next
Monday. We will be receiving a fine if there are not in on the following
Saturday and I need to have them prior to make sure that are club records are
also up to date. This stops errors in the future with players ages,
addresses and singlet numbers.
3. We need players for under 12 boys, under 14 girls and
under 8s. These teams are short of players although under 8s will have
enough for this week, I'm looking at making another team.
If you need assistance with any of the above please contact
me and I will do my best to assist.
Regards
Wilton

Newsletter April 2013
Around Our Club
WELCOME to our April newsletter.
Hope you all enjoyed the Easter and school holidays. The season is winding up and all our teams are now preparing for the
coming finals. Recently I was reminded about the growth in our club and the amount of people at training. I took time to
reflect this as I have been making enquiries about hiring another venue for training as we have out grown the number of
courts available at the stadium on Mondays. Next season we plan on entering 17 teams and must be able to provide
training facilities for them. On reflecting I remembered when we first started training, it was with 3 players on half of court 4
on a Tuesday afternoon. So we have gone from 3 players at training to what we have now. Wow, what a reflection. Have a
look around you next time you are at training and appreciate the hard work of every member of our club, you all should be
proud of our achievements. Please remember that our success is not measured by the number of premiership but the
number of players who turn up each week.
Good luck to all our teams for the upcoming finals. Go Newlands, we are all proud of each and every person associated with our wonderful club.
CHOCOLATE DRIVE
Our chocolate drive has been a success although we have some boxes remaining and some people still to return their money. Please see Vivian at training if you wish to return chocolate money or take another box. The winner of the competition will be announced when all boxes are sold.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Positions are still available on both the Junior and Senior committees. Meetings are conducted monthly on Monday after training. Come along and learn more about our club please remember that it is your club as well. Come along and help direct this great club because it belongs to all of us including you. You are challenged with the responsibility of ensuring our club remains the best. Please see myself or Liz for further details about these
positions.
